5 Mason Jar Cocktail Kit Ideas and Free Gift Tag Printables

Nothing says “thanks for coming” more than a thoughtful favor – whether after your bachelorette party, bridal shower, or your wedding! However, coming up with and putting together cute favors can easily become overwhelming, especially if you have a lengthy guest list. These adorable DIY mason jar cocktail kits make it easy.

First off, get an accurate count of how many people will be at your event. Plan to make a few extra, just in case. Worst-case scenario, you’ll end up enjoying them yourself!

Regardless of which mason jar cocktail kit recipe you do, you’ll need to gather your materials.

How to Make a Mason Jar Cocktail Kit

Mason jar
A pint or quart-sized jar will be perfect for most cocktails.

Straw
Match the straw with the cocktail, or provide a straw in a contrasting color for a vibrant pop.

Scissors
You’ll need scissors to cut the twine or string, as well as any gift tags you may attach.

Twine
Use twine, string, yarn, or even a ribbon (for a more refined look) to tie on the tag and mini liquor bottles.

Drink tag
Attach a tag to thank guests for coming, and let them know how to make their kits. For an added touch, you can even print out these gift tags!

Mixers
Some drinks will only require one ingredient, while others need other ingredients like simple syrup or tabasco. Depending on your cocktail, you may have to get creative to fit everything in the jar.

Liquor
The smallest bottles, typically 1.7 oz or about 50ml, will be just the right size to tie on the outside of your kit.

Add a bit of flair by starting with some paper filling or confetti when filling the jars.

Then simply add a mixer, insert a straw, and attach liquor or sparkling wine.
