Forever Reclaimed – Wood Flowers for Weddings and Home Décor
1. When did you start your business?
I started working with wood flowers in 2017. It started out as a hobby where I would make home décor items for myself, family, and friends. When people started seeing my wood flower creations there was a lot of interest in people wanting to buy home décor items.
Forever Reclaimed then officially became a business in 2021. We decided on the name Forever Reclaimed because I strive to be eco-friendly and I try to use “reclaimed” items in many of my pieces. “Forever” is because wood flowers last forever, they won’t wilt away!
2. Tell us a little bit about your business and how you got your start?
I came across an article about wood flowers back in 2017. I had never heard of wood flowers before then and wanted to give it a try since I have always been fond of arts and crafts. What originally drew me to wood flowers is that I love real flowers but my allergies don’t. Wood flowers are free from pollen and strong fragrances.
I also loved that I could customize them however I wanted. After making myself, family, and friends wood flower décor for a couple years it started to grow from just a hobby to an actual business. We are now a business ran by my husband, Travis, and myself. I do all the wood flower designs and Travis assists with woodworking and helping out at in person events.
3. Describe your service/product you provide and how are you different from other florists?
The wood flowers that we use are made from the plant named “Aeschynomene aspera”, nicknamed “sola”. The wood flowers come in a variety of styles and sizes, and can be dyed/painted any color! Wood flowers, unlike real flowers, do not need water or sunlight and will not wilt away. Their everlasting beauty makes a lifelong keepsake. Since these flowers are wood, your favorite flower is always in season – no matter what time of the year it is!
We currently offer pre-made and customizable home décor and fully customizable wedding options (bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, flower girl baskets and bouquets, centerpieces, and more). We are also setting up some options for DIY kits and DIY parties. We work one-on-one with our clients to create their order exactly the way they want. We do not have a minimum order quantity. Need just a bridal bouquet? No problem! Need florals for your entire wedding? Sure, we’ve got you covered!
Your wood flower order can be completed before your wedding date, so you have everything in hand prior to your big day. No need to coordinate pick up or set up times the day of for your wedding florals. Wood flowers also make an everlasting keepsake.
4. What was your first memory involving working with wood flowers?
My first wood flower projects were a wall sign and a wood box arrangement that I made my mom. My mom still has the flower arrangement that I made for her and I love looking at it and seeing how much I have grown and improved since then.
5. Describe your style/approach.
I enjoy any style of flower arrangement, but I am most drawn to “garden” style arrangements. “Garden” style arrangements/bouquets are more realistic looking with lots of greenery and flowers. When I first begin to assemble a floral arrangement, I lay out all of my flowers that I plan to use with all the greenery. I carefully arrange all of the flowers and greenery until it looks exactly the way I want it to. If I am making a custom order, I send photos during the entire process to the client for approval.

7. How did you get into doing wooden flowers for weddings?
As a bride myself, I thought it would be neat to have flowers that would also make an everlasting keepsake. I struggled with the idea of paying a lot of money for real flowers that would wilt away shortly after my wedding. Now, as a business owner, I want to provide a quality and unique product for couples getting married. Your wood flowers from your wedding can be used as home décor pieces after your wedding so you will have a lifelong keepsake from your special day!
8. What is your favorite part of working with wooden flowers?
I love that wood flowers can be totally customized in any color, so I can dye/paint the flowers any way I want! They can be made to look like real flowers, or can be painted a different way to look more whimsical. The creative possibilities are endless!
9. What is your favorite part of your job?
Being able to make a product that makes my clients happy! I love making my client’s ideas come to life.
10. What is your favorite flower?
Sunflowers – the real ones and wood flower ones! Sunflowers have always been my favorite flower for as long as I can remember.
11. What are your favorite trends when it comes to wedding flowers?
Bright and bold colors and lots of greenery.
12. What trends do you see for 2024-2025?
Unique color pallets, bright and bold colors, “boho” style bouquets and décor.
13. What tips or advice can you give couples who are ordering their wedding flowers?
If couples have a certain style in mind they can provide me with inspiration pictures. I also encourage couples to provide me with color swatches of their wedding colors so that I can paint match their flowers.
Interested couples can reach out to me to start the process even if their wedding is months (or even a year) away so we have plenty of time to get everything customized for them. Plus, wood flowers will not wilt and die, so wedding orders can be completed in advance before the big day!
14. What inspires your designs?
Real flowers. I strive to produce products that look realistic. I also like to browse to see what types of florals are currently trending.
15. When you are not working on a wedding, what do you like to do for fun?
Spending time with family, exploring parks and nature preserves, photography.

I haven’t heard of wood flowers before, but I love the looks of these! It was great learning about Forever Reclaimed, and I love the idea of having wedding flowers that you can keep forever!
Their wood flowers are so lifelike, and aren’t hard or brittle either. A wonderful alternative to fresh flowers. Another perk is they’re great for people with allergies.
