Yesterday afternoon I attended a luncheon where Chef Harvey Golden of My Personal Gourmet Catering talked about the current wedding trends for 2010.
It’s always fun to see what’s in, and if it’s a trend that will become classic and timeless, or just the current “hot thing.” Either way – they all add character, charm, and a lot of personality to your event.
Wedding Trends for 2010
1) Retro chic
2) Tea-length dresses
3) Classic white wedding cakes
4) Photo booths
5) Grand exits
6) Personalized plus (personalized details on décor, invitations, gifts and favors)
Other trends Harvey mentioned are:
7) Ice – as in ice sculptures, ice luges, ice shots and ice balls
8) The importance of food — Cultural foods, Comfort foods (fried chicken is a popular choice), and Foods served family style
