3 Rules To Remember When Choosing Your Centerpieces

Choosing wedding reception centerpiece designs can be a daunting task. With so many options, how do you pick the right type for your event? What‘s right, what’s wrong?

Here are 3 important, but easy, rules to follow when selecting the ideal wedding reception centerpiece.

3 Wedding Reception Centerpiece Rules

#1 Do not block your guests’ line of sight
Your guests should be able to comfortably see over or below the centerpiece so that they can easily converse with someone seated across the table. Choose centerpieces that are either 12 inches or lower, or 24 inches or higher.

#2 Do not over-crowd the table
Remember, several other items besides your centerpieces will be on the table, including dishes, glasses, salt & pepper shakers, salad dressings, wine glasses, coffee cups/saucers, and favors. An oversized centerpiece will be too overpowering and your tables will look cluttered.

#3 Flowers aren’t your only option
Flowers are the most popular option but a lovely grouping of candles, bowls or vases filled with fruits or vegetables, metal or ceramic sculptures, and greenery such as a Boston fern or English ivy are fun alternatives.
