Your Wedding Cake – Should It Match Your Dress?
Q. – Should my wedding cake match my dress or will that be too much?
A. – It’s no lie that wedding cake is part dessert part decor. So giving some thought to your wedding cake design is important, and your dress is a wonderful source for inspiration.
So, should your cake match your dress?
As long as your cake looks like a cake and not a mini person in a wedding gown it should be fine.
Unique embellishments, like beading, lace, or ruffles, look beautiful on a wedding cake, as do mini rosettes and appliques.
However it doesn’t have to match your dress if you don’t want it to.
