3 Unique Wedding Ideas to Inject Into Your Wedding Plans

A wedding is day of love and celebration, with a little cake, a glass of bubbly (and probably other alcohol beverages), partying on the dance floor, and looking spectacular bedecked in dresses and suits.

However, what do couples dream about and plan for when it comes to designing their wedding, besides these popular practices and other time old traditions? Ways to inject a bit of themselves into the festivities, of course! If you want to inject your own brand of fun into your wedding day for both you and your partner, here are some unique wedding ideas.

3 Unique Wedding Ideas
1. Pop Some Photos in Your Bouquet

Flowers look pretty enough, and are a lovely pop of color amongst a sea of whites, blacks, greys, and pastels, but there’s a lot you can throw into a bouquet to make it bigger and better.

Putting some photos among the flowers, or trailing down the stems, is a great way to include the people you love in your vows. Whether it’s a picture of your mother or father, your dog, a house you’ve bought together, or just a much loved item, it’s a great way to put a personal and little unusual spin on your nuptial celebrations. There are no rules after all!

2. Play Some Games

And no we don’t mean board games. Invent your own games for your reception. Maybe you could play a round of musical chairs, in which certain tables are have to find a seat at another table far away from them.

You could also print riddles or special messages on paper napkins, like telling your father to stand on a chair and holler, or get your best friend to play some really cheesy music at a random time when it’s quiet, and have them at each place setting. It’ll be more fun if you make sure to mix up the messages at each table.

3. Have a Silent Reception Party

It’s a lot of fun, and it means people won’t argue over the music choice! A silent reception party is definitely not the typical reception that most people think of, but it allows everybody can enjoy themselves while creating a setting that feels a little less stuffy or expected.

It also means that if you want the first dance to be a little more private for the two of you, you can pop on your headphones and enjoy a good dance with each other by blocking everyone else out. Check out providers that can set up a Silent Events Party, as working with professionals makes sure everything is laid out and designed properly; plus it’s a lot cheaper to hire out the headphones rather than buy them in bulk!

There’s a lot you can do for your wedding, so don’t let yourself be limited by tradition! Plenty of ideas can fly around when you and a group of your loved ones put your heads together.
