3 Wedding Planning Details That Will Impact Your Day

With so many wedding planning details to have to think about, and so much to do, sometimes planning a wedding isn’t pretty. It can get really overwhelming and stressful.

This is completely normal, and not unusual for anyone going through this process to feel like this, even for a moment. Even if you’ve hired a wedding planner, you still need to make decisions and finalize everything so your wedding day goes how you want it to.

As chaotic as it sounds – you will get there. It’s important to tell yourself that all the way through your journey, and to remind yourself that you’re getting married to the person you love and want to spend the rest of your life with – does anything else even matter?

Here are a few wedding planning details that can make a huge impact on your overall day.

1. Your Transportation

Remember that if you aren’t getting ready at the venue where your ceremony or reception are taking place, then you will need a vehicle to get you there.

There are many different options that you have depending on the style and theme of your wedding. You can never go wrong with a limo. Not only is it classy and attractive, but it means you are also able to arrive together with ‘your people’, that can fix your hair or makeup if need be before you take that big walk, as well as whoever is going to be walking you down the aisle. So have a look at sites like http://www.fl-limousine.com/ who are able to provide you with an unforgettable service.

If a limo is out of your budget, then you’ll have to go in your car or a friends. Make it extra special by getting the car detailed.

2. The Music

The music will greatly affect your reception, and everyone’s enjoyment, so you’re probably going to have a DJ or a live band (or maybe even both). It’s important that you open a line of conversation with them so that you are all on the same page. The last thing you want is to have someone come and play all the wrong music.

You’ll likely have specific songs that you want to be playing at various moments throughout the evening, so you need to make it clear exactly what you want. Create a list of the most important songs, paired up with when you want them playing.

Make note of which artists, songs, and genres that you want to hear (and don’t want to hear). Let your DJ know which songs are “must plays” and which songs would be nice to hear, but not critical. Many songs have different versions, so be sure to tell your DJ which version you want as well.

3. The Food

The food served also have a huge impact on your reception. It doesn’t have to be the fanciest food, but food that is ‘meh’ or bad just won’t do.

Think about the food that you want. Is there a specific type of food that you and your fiancé love? Maybe you love pasta dishes, and may want your menu to be an Italian Feast. Then again, comfort foods may be more your style, so how about gourmet burgers, mac and cheese bites, classic grilled cheese and tomato soup shooters?

Do you want your guests meals served, or prefer a buffet or food station style? Your caterer can give you ideas. Make sure to schedule a tasting of the foods you are considering serving at your reception. Make note not just of the taste but of the appearance as well.
