Your wedding will be one of the most special days of your life. You’ll want an amazing wedding day that’s as memorable as possible. To do that you need to ensure that you have certain things in place.
It’s natural to want your wedding day to perfect in every way. After all, you’ve most probably been planning it out in your head for years.

1. Music
Having great music at the reception is key. After the seriousness of the ceremony and the speeches, you will want to let loose on the dance floor and get the party pumping, so the last thing you want is poor music and a flat atmosphere.
Making sure you have a verified DJ is ideal. They can play a variety of songs, and act as the emcee for the evening to help keep things flowing. Or you can also have a band for the first half of the reception then a DJ for dancing and partying later in the night. Whether a DJ or a band, you’ll want to make sure they understand and appreciate your music preferences.
If your budget doesn’t allow for a band or DJ, consider creating your own playlist to use and play via a sound system.
2. Catering
At most weddings, there is food provided at the reception, so it’s important to make sure it is food that your guests will enjoy. You may need to cater to vegans, vegetarians, and allergy sufferers. Not to worry, as most caterers can accommodate these different food requirements, and should be able to recommend tasty options. You can easily request any dietary requirements from guests on the RSVP card you include with your invitations.
There are some different food presentation options that can coordinate and enhance your wedding reception. You can have a buffet-style meal where the guests will all go up and help themselves to a variety of foods or you can go for the sit-down option with a set menu and table service.
Another option is food stations. These are similar to buffets, but are displays set up in different areas, often set up by category, such as a pasta station or taco station.
3. Photography
You’ll want to make sure that those memories are captured so wedding photography is key. Since your photographer will be there all day, it’s important to get a good photographer so you get the best pictures of your wedding. The last thing you want is blurry or poorly taken photos, as there is no “redo” of your wedding day memories.
In addition to hiring a photographer, you can further enhance the experience (and create more memories) by hiring a photo booth for you and your guests. Many photo booths come with cute backdrops and fun props and outfits, so that you and your guests can make some incredible memories together.
