However, others’ inspirational boards can also affect your choices negatively, as they often capture the current trends at any given time. There is nothing wrong with embracing contemporary inspiration as long as it matches your personality. A bride that makes a bold statement doesn’t need to be eccentric. Being bold is all about being brave enough to embrace your quirks and tastes and go with those. 1) Do I need glasses?
In magazines and editorial photo shoots, it can be hard to find a bride wearing glasses. However, not everyone who wears glasses is comfortable with contact lenses. There’s nothing more unpleasant than getting itchy or red eyes on your wedding day! For brides who wear glasses in their day to day lives, it makes no sense to replace those and risk being uncomfortable. Instead, why not make your frames the highlight of your bridal look? You can invest in a new frame that’ll complete your style. It’s a great way of finding a cute or playful frame that’ll make you feel confident.

It’s not uncommon for brides to select a wedding color palette that encompasses their bridal style and look, that also extends to their venue and decor. Yet, this begs one important question, namely, what if you don’t like the idea of a color palette? The most popular hairstyles for brides revolve around long hair. In society’s eye, the ideal bride seems to wear her hair long, either down or in an elegant updo. The introduction of braids allows brides to be creative with their hair, adding small hair jewelry or flowers into their braided mane. Therefore, one of the first worries of every bride is to make an appointment for dream-worthy extensions. Just because it seems like the typical bride has long hair doesn’t mean you should grow your hair just for one day. A short-haired bride can bring an edgy touch while fully embracing her personality.
4) What if I find girly shoes uncomfortable?
Ah, bridal shoes! There is a variety of shoe choices you can make, from stylish heeled pumps to dramatic peep toe shoes. But regardless of the design they pick, most brides feel attracted to heeled designs. But if you’re a woman who loves flat shoes, there’s no need for you to change your style. Wearing heels when you’re not used to them can be an uncomfortable experience, especially on your wedding day. But, if you give yourself the time to consider your options, you can find flat shoes that match your needs and tastes. It’s not uncommon for modern brides to wear a pair of Converse trainers or Dr. Martens boots. One thing to remember (and this is true for any heel height), wear the same shoes to your alteration appointments that you will be wearing on your wedding day. That way your wedding outfit will be the right length.

5) Can a bride not wear white?
Most bridal dresses are white or cream-colored. But there is no reason that you have to stick to these choices. You decide what you should wear. A lot of designers are injecting playful hues to their wedding collections, such as Vera Wang whose pink and blush designs were worn respectively by Kaley Cuoco and Sharon Stone. The bottom line: If white isn’t for you, many other options will flatter your skin and silhouette too!
6) Should a bride only wear a dress?
As we are on the subject, it’s worth wondering whether a dress is genuinely what you want to wear. Social expectations are that a bride wears a dress. But the truth is that you are in charge. You could just as well get married wearing a stylish pantsuit if you feel more comfortable in a pair of trousers. The palazzo design is very popular for bridal outfits, for instance.
7) Can we skip rings?
Choosing the ring for your wedding is a big decision. But not everyone is comfortable with a ring. Depending on your job or your personal style preferences, a ring could become a nuisance. While the exchange of rings is a big iconic moment at a wedding, it is nothing but a symbol of your love. If you do not want to wear rings, you can pick another meaningful symbol, such as matching tattoos.
Being brave enough to choose meaningful options can make a big difference to the way you experience your wedding. A bold bride is a woman who embraces her personality to the fullest, unafraid to go against expectations to be true to herself. On your wedding day, you should feel empowered to walk down the aisle, proud of who you are. Being unapologetically you is your best bridal look. Therefore, it can help to question your choices to make sure you are not letting widespread expectations affect your decisions.
