Close up of red rose bouquet held by a bride - 4 Commonly Forgotten Wedding DetailsThere’s so much to think about when it comes to the big day, that there are likely to be things that many brides-to-be are going to forget. With that in mind, here is a quick list of four commonly forgotten wedding details.

1) You have the dress, but what about everything else?

Many brides place a lot of focus on the wedding dress, and why not? After all, the dress is such a big part of the day. But what about everything else? You have the jewelry to think about, the shoes that you want to wear. You want your whole ensemble to work and feel complete, so don’t forget to accessorize.

2) The logistics of venues

Choosing your wedding venue or venues can be exciting, but you also need to think about the logistics. If your ceremony is in one place and your reception in another, then you need to think about how your guests will get from one place to the next. Also think about where your guests might stay. Are there accommodation facilities at your venue, or some hotels nearby? Last of all, it is important to think about the foodie side of things. Will the venue offer it, or will you need to consider outside catering options? The food is often a big part of the wedding after all.

3) Getting those important RSVPs

Getting the invitations out might be a high priority for you, but what about getting those RSVPs back? It’s important to get those back as soon as possible so that you can make further decisions down the line such as seating chart, food options, and drink choices. This is one of the things brides often forget about, or just assume that a guest isn’t coming because they didn’t send back an RSVP. Have arrangements in place to contact people who didn’t RSVP so you will have an accurate head count.

4) A theme for your day

Finally, thinking of a theme for your wedding day may not be something you’ve even thought about doing. And while it isn’t essential, many people like some sort of unifying focus to work towards in terms of decorations and style. It might just be a color that you want, or even a loose theme like a floral or taking the seasons into account. But it can really help shape the day, so don’t let it be an afterthought.
