Your Wedding Aesthetic – Getting The Look You Want

When you think of your wedding, it’s likely that many of the plans in your mind are all about how it looks. What kind of scenery are you going to set as you celebrate one of the biggest (and hopefully best) days of your life? Well, when it comes to your wedding aesthetic, here are a few tips that can help you make it perfect without causing too much undue stress.

Your Wedding Aesthetic

Start getting a real idea of what you want
You might have some vague visual images of different wedding style elements that you like and may want for your wedding. There may even be some details that you’re pretty certain about. However, to help ensure that the style details that you ultimately choose for your wedding mesh, you should take the time to start pinning your inspirations, quite literally, with a Pinterest board.

With a Pinterest board, you can sort through details that you like but won’t work for you wedding aesthetic, and focus on those that do. This way, you can nail specific details that make it a lot easier for you or any coordinator you work with to source. Otherwise, you could find yourself getting more paralyzed by the range of choices when you’re offered various different options.

Work with a pro who pulls it all together
You can make the effort and spend the energy going from vendor to vendor, picking up the pieces that best suit your style along the way. However, you can save yourself a lot of time and effort by working with coordinators like Quest Events who can do it for you. Event coordinators typically have a good idea of what is already available and, as such, are more likely to be able to source the specific elements that you want, including drapes, furnishings, and other elements of décor.

Choose the venue for you
The first and most important step you have to take is to find the venue that’s going to work for the mental image that you have, and fit your budget. Sites like Wedding Spot can help you find the venue that matches your needs.

Not only do you want it to match your aesthetic, such as choosing a countryside location with the right charm in architecture for a more rural style, but you also have to make sure that the location can accommodate any of the decoration changes that you want to make. Some venues will be more controlling and restrictive over what they will and won’t allow you to do with the space so make sure you don’t get surprised.

Plan extra for the flowers
Flowers are a whole factor on their own that needs to be planned, often separately but in cooperation with any other event aesthetics you’re running. You can find a florist or floral designer on your own, or enlist the help of a wedding planner or event coordinator who will have contacts of their own.

When you meet with a florist, come prepared with your wedding aesthetic (so the florist will know what vibe you are striving for), examples of centerpieces and bouquets that you like, here’s where your Pinterest board can come in handy, (it’s ok if your examples aren’t the same color you have in mind), and your floral budget, so they can make suggestions that are in keeping with your budget.

Get some bouquet inspiration and extrapolate to help your flowers fit both your bouquet as well as the larger visual themes that you’re going for with your wedding décor.

There are wedding services that can help you nail down the aesthetic you want right down to the smallest details. Just make sure that you take the time to know exactly what you want.
