With each new year comes new wedding trends, and 2018 is no different. Here are 4 popular 2018 wedding trends we’re sure to be seeing:
1) A New Take On Photo Booths
Photo booths are a lot of fun, and really gets your wedding guests involved, so we’ll definitely still be seeing photo booths at wedding receptions.
However there will be less of the traditional, enclosed style photo booth and more alternative styles, such as the Magic Mirror, a full-length selfie mirror that captures photos on the reflective touch screen,
Green Screens (that let guests choose from different backgrounds), and Slo-Motion Video Booths (these videos are recorded at 240 frames per second at a high-def 1080p for a truly unique video experience).
2) Wedding Dresses With Sheer Panels
If you’ve got it, flaunt it. Remember the sheer see-through dress Beyonce wore to the at the 2014 Grammys? Well, it took a few years, but in 2018 skin is in for wedding dresses.
The wedding dress trend we’ll be seeing this year is more sheer “illusion” panels on wedding dresses, from modest illusion necklines and little pops of sheer paneling on the sides, to more daring “see through” gowns.

Purple has always been a color favorite of brides and grooms. It can be soft, dramatic, or mysterious. A combination of the calmness of blue and the energy of red. Purple represents royalty, nobility, and luxury; and is a color of magic.
Pantone’s 2018 Color of the Year is ‘Ultra-Violet,’ a rich, luxurious blue-based purple. As the color of the year, we’re sure to see this 2018 wedding trend all through wedding attire and décor. his amazing color will be used in bridesmaids attire, table linens, bouquets and other floral arrangements, and as an accent to neutral color schemes.
4) Luscious Dessert Options
Wedding cakes will never go away. But with many couples’ taste in desserts leaning towards treats other than cake, wedding guests will be given different dessert choices. This 2018 wedding trend will give us dessert buffets with a variety of mini pies and tarts, brownies, parfaits, lemon bars, cookies, cake pops, mini parfaits, buckeyes, and other goodies will be a popular sight at wedding receptions.
Another fun option is the do-it-yourself ice cream buffet, where guests can choose from any flavor ice cream and add all kinds of yummy toppings. And a cherry on top? Yes please!
