When it comes to planning a wedding, the ball is typically in the bride’s court. If you’re like many women, you’ve been thinking about your wedding since you were little, while your groom might only just have woken up to the idea of weddings. That being said, it’s a great idea to get your groom involved with the wedding planning too. You definitely don’t want your wedding planning to be an entirely solo affair – that can lead to arguments as well as a lot of stress for the bride.
Getting your fiancé involved will make the experience more enjoyable for both of you.

1) Put His Skills To Good Use
Many of the skills needed for successful wedding planning are ones you may already possess from work or elsewhere.
Is your groom creative? Perhaps he could design or choose your wedding stationery. Is he a good negotiator? Have him contact your vendors to try and get the best deal.
There are a lot of ways to get your groom involved with the wedding, so think about what his strengths are and use them.
2) Divide Your Tasks
If you want to make the workload easier, it’s better to simply divide your tasks. This will mean that you both do your fair share of the wedding planning and have something to stick to.
There’ll be decisions that you’ll need to make together, but provided you’ve both sat down and talked about what you both want and agreed on things, you can each go off and work your way through the list.

3) Let Him Show Off His Style
If your groom has a distinct style, then why not let him choose his own wedding outfit?
Give him some direction with regards to colors that coordinate with your wedding theme. Having the groom choose his own suit will allow him to feel more comfortable on the wedding day, and can be a nice surprise for you on the wedding day too.
Choosing his own wedding attire can help him incorporate his own style into the day. So, if he loves red, for example, and wants to choose a red tie for him and his groomsmen, or likes a specific style of shoe – he can have fun putting his look together.
Make sure you agree a budget to stop him from going overboard!
4) Write Your Own Vows
Many couples decide to stay away from traditional wedding vows and write their own instead. Why not have you and your husband-to-be write your own to add a more personal touch to your wedding? This will help you both to express your feelings in a special way on your wedding day.
Having your husband-to-be on board while planning your wedding can help make the wedding planning process easier, and ensures you both feel a part of the celebration.
When you get your groom involved with the wedding planning (after all it’s his wedding day too), you stand a better chance of avoiding annoying wedding day dilemmas and enjoy a stress-free day you’ll both remember forever.
