1. Tell us a little bit about your business and how you got your start?
We are a flower and gift shop and there are many services we offer. What got us started was the fact that we had many florists in the family and our love of flowers.

3. What words best describe you and your company?
Personal, friendly, high quality, and unique.

4. How did you get into wedding florals?
Everyone that works [at Divine Flowers and Gifts] worked with other florists in the past and had experience with weddings.

5. What was your first memory involving working with flowers?
I have wonderful memories of working with flowers with my mom from the time I was very young. My mom always had a huge garden and we would clip flowers together and arrange them.

6. What is your favorite part of being a florist?
Working with great customers and being a part of the community!

7. Any great stories from working with a client?
We had a customer that called in and requested 300 roses for his wife. He contacted many other florists and no one could help him. 25 dozen roses is a difficult order and there are many fundamental aspects involved, but after brainstorming with our team, we were able to work it out and make it happen! The customer was beyond thrilled and so so happy with the turnout!

8. What is your favorite flower and why?
I would have to say the Purple Bearded Iris. These were a dear favorite of my mom’s, so much so that my farm is named “The Farm at Iris Hill” and it is my store’s logo. You can see it everyday, in lights, on my store’s sign.

9. What are your favorite trends when it comes to wedding flowers?
I like that trends are always changing! I don’t think any certain trend is my favorite. I like that they change, it keeps things interesting.

10. What trends do you see for 2018-2019?
For classy brides, we see a trend following after the royal wedding with white roses and eucalyptus. For those free spirits, we see them following in the natural—drawing inspiration from wildflowers and lots of greenery (sunflowers, poppies… etc.).

11. What inspires your designs?
We love being creative, so we like embracing the things others won’t do. This uniqueness can be seen in our arrangements!

12. If you could provide flowers for any celebrity wedding (past, present or future), who would be the lucky couple?
They got married quite a while ago, but definitely Chip and Joanna Gaines!

13. What’s the most unusual request you’ve had?
The 300 rose order mentioned earlier!

14. What tips or advice can you give couples who are ordering their wedding flowers?
Know your colors, have reference pictures, and agree on a price range.
