5 Ways To Add More Color To Your Wedding Day

Many couples like a traditional wedding style, with all white (or light colored) décor and smart suits and the rest. But others like to mix the traditional with the creative. If that sounds like you, you may want to add color to your wedding day.

No matter where you’re getting married or the theme of your wedding, there are always ways to add color to the day, through both subtle and bold methods.

For a wedding day to be as bright as your love, read on, and incorporate some of these ideas to add color to your wedding day.

1. Flowers, Flowers Everywhere

Flowers at a wedding, who would have thought it? OK, the idea of having flowers at your reception (hopefully!) isn’t anything new. Most everyone has flowers at their wedding. Why not add enough to make them stand out on their own, or bright enough to make the whole party seem brighter?

Go crazy with the flowers. Get as many as your budget will allow, (your florist can help you choose). Also select ones that go beyond the usual white and cream classics. You can also add a fun twist by adding fabric flowers to pack a bolder punch.

2. Colorful Drinks

One of the easiest (and inexpensive) ways to add color to your wedding day is to have people be a walking rainbow! How do you do that? It’s all in the drinks.

Beer and wine might be the typical favorites, but this is no typical day. Instead, fill your bar with beautifully bright cocktails. Bright reds and turquoise drinks will always be a hit!

Of course, not everyone likes cocktails. Add a garnishing station filled with strawberries, grapefruit, blueberries, and more so everyone can enjoy a pop of color in their drinks. Color everywhere!

3. Added Touches

Think about your décor, where there will be plenty of scope to add color! You can dot colorful fairy lights around the edge of the room, for instance.

Also, don’t forget the humble balloon. They’re an easy and fun way to add a lot of colors. You can get yours from Balloons & Events; put them up around the room, and your event will be a cascade of color at every turn.

4. Guests’ Attire

Don’t forget that your guests can play their part too, but you’ll need to include this info in the invitations. Wedding guests often opt for a more sedate color scheme to their attire, so you can’t expect everyone to wear bright clothing to your wedding unless they know that you’d like them to do so! If you’re going for a colorful theme, tell your guests to don their brightest ties, socks, earrings, jewelry, and so on. A wedding where everyone is wearing something colorful will be a colorful affair indeed.

5. Table Displays

Don’t play it safe when it comes to your table displays! Go big, and add some color. Your placemats, plates, and focal pieces aren’t bound by anything other than your imagination.

A colorful wedding is all about going the extra mile!
