The Ceremony
The ceremony was fun and light-hearted ceremony.

The bridesmaids carried bouquets of white hydrangea and greenery, and entered through the bamboo trail to “Bittersweet Symphony.”

The bride’s hand-tied bouquets had white hydrangea, greenery, and light yellow roses. In memory of grandparents who had passed, photo lockets were attached to her bouquet. Her processional song was “Jacob’s Song,” and was written by the groom.

They did a traditional Celtic Handfasting, and they determined who went first for the ring exchange with the “ancient and sacred ritual” of Rock, Paper, Scissors.

The Reception
After the ceremony, everyone walked over to the tent and the Harvest Mobile Cuisine food truck for the cocktail hour.

During the cocktail hour, guests nibbled on delicious appetizers of Sweet Corn Fritters and Pickled Watermelon Bites. After the cocktail hour, the wedding party and the bride and groom were announced in to the reception. Then came dinner, a slow roasted pork belly with kohlrabi slaw and dijon aioli, and chicken and arugula pesto – both served on a Bakehouse Ciabatta Roll.

Other nods to the couples’ love of music was apparent in the reception decor – centerpieces were sheet music table “runners,” old books, moss, and succulents, and in lieu of a traditional guest book, guest signed vinyl LPs.
