3 Areas That Impact The Look Of Your Wedding Day

We all know how important it is to achieve the desired look of your wedding day – from the bride looking her absolute best, and that everyone else does as well.

When everyone, and everything, looks great, it’s more likely that you will have a truly stunning wedding day, and that is something that every bride can agree to wanting for themselves and their partner.

Here are three areas that will affect the look of your wedding day.

1. The Look Of The Venue

First of all, you need to put some thought into what it will take to make your venue look the way you envision it so that on your wedding day you will truly be happy with the venue itself.

There are many easy ways to incorporate the feel and the theme you have chosen for your wedding, including ceiling draping, pretty backdrops, a creative escort card display, or fun patterned table runners. Pay special attention to areas where your guests will be looking, such as your wedding cake and the centerpieces where they will be seated.

You’ll need to know who will be setting up your decorations. Will it be your florist, venue staff, or your wedding coordinator? Or is it a DIY set up that you, your groom, and your wedding party will be responsible for? You’ll also want to make sure there is enough time to set everything up.

Think about what colors you want, if you want a lot of bling, or if a more minimalist approach is more your style. Is your wedding style is more modern or laid-back and informal? These factors will dictate the whole look of your wedding day, and as long as you are happy with them you’ll be fine.

2. The Look Of The Bride (and Bridesmaids)

Like most brides, you’re sure to be thinking about how you are going to look on your wedding day – what you’re going to wear, and how your make-up and hairstyle will be. And rightly so. If you’re happy with the way you look you’ll feel better, and enjoy yourself more. (Not to mention that everyone’s going to be looking at you and you’ll be having your picture taken all day).

You’ll want to start with your wedding dress. Choose your dress early, as it may take several months for it to come in once it’s been ordered. Look for dresses that coordinate with your venue décor and wedding theme. Once you have chosen your dress, you can select your accessories, and the dresses for your bridesmaids.

Then think about hair and make-up styles that not only complement you, but your dress and the overall theme of your wedding. Do a trial run with your hair stylist and make-up artist. That way you can see how it will really look on you, and you can make any adjustments ahead of time. That way it will just be smooth sailing on the wedding day itself.

3. The Look Of The Groom (And Groomsmen)

Of course, particular emphasis will need to be placed upon your groom. He needs to look and feel great too. As well as the suit and jacket he will be wearing (or no jacket if you’re going for a more casual feel), think about the men’s accessories, such as a cummerbund, tie, pocket square, and cuff links, (maybe some fun patterned socks). You can source their accessories from somewhere like John Henric US collection. The right accessories complete the look, and are a great way to capture the feel and theme of the wedding, not to mention bring out your groom’s personality.
